My Paleo story began with lots of symptoms, weight gain, and disappointing results with the standard “eat less, move more” mantras. I wasn’t full blown diagnosed with syndromes (yet), but I Voila_Capture 2015-02-16_09-42-00_AMwas steering in that direction.

After all, schizophrenia, depression, bipolarism, diabetes, Parkinson’s, heart disease, and dementia all “run in my family.”

Before going Paleo I was a raw vegan and before that a vegetarian. I’ve tried caffeine pills, laxative teas, water pills, went to my doc for Phentermine, low calorie, exercising 6+ times per week, basically everything to punish weight off of me… failing in the process.

I was tossing up either going full out fruititarian, doing a 40 Day Juice Fast, or Paleo because I just wasn’t losing the weight or getting fabulous results on my raw vegan diet and it wasn’t for lack of trying.

So I reluctantly tried Paleo and…

  • permanently said goodbye to 30 lbs of fat
  • eliminated acne to enjoy beautiful, clear, glowing skin
  • traded brain fog and fatigue for clarity and high energy
  • reduced anxiety/depression
  • slept better and deeper
  • improved blood sugar and erased cravings, hunger between meals, and that feeling of not being full
  • fixed my digestion – no more bloating, cramping, gas, constipation, or diarrhea
  • regulated my hormones – erased PMS and now have normal menstrual cycles (the first time of my life)
  • improved heart health – reduced triglycerides and LDL, while skyrocketing HDL

… transformed my life without counting calories, without exercising endlessly, and without trading my life for my weight loss regimen.

It feels great! Because without spending hours of my life worrying about my body, I’ve began to LIVE more. And I’ll tell ya, life tastes good! :)

Throughout the last five years, I’ve tried to go back a few times, to test, to see if it’s really the food (and not something else) that is producing my amazing results.

But after a few days of eating oats, candy, and gluten-free grains, I KNOW it’s the food.
